These belts are made out of retired climbing rope. Climbing ropes are only considered safe to climb on for about a year, so they typically still look brand new when they are thrown out. We collect these ropes that would otherwise be thrown out from climbers all around the country in order to give them a new life as belts. Our belts come in one size fits (almost) all, and each belts includes an eco friendly hang tag with both instructions on how to shorten it and a short summary why we recycle retired climbing ropes. Please note: we recently upgraded from rivets to stitching to hold the buckles on. All belts will have stitching, not rivets.
